Cannot Backup

Thread needs solution

Each time Acronis attempts to do a backup, it stops and I get a error message that say's

"Failed to back up file or folder 'C:\Users\Hank\OneDrive\: It may be blocked by another application.'

This same message comes up for a second backup I am attempting to use.

I checked the Windows Defender Firewall, and Acronis has permission and does not show it is blocked.

Hank, this is a known issue introduced by changes made by Microsoft for how OneDrive works in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and later.

See KB 61362: Acronis products: Error when backing up OneDrive folder which has some further information, plus if you look in the Acronis True Image 2018 Forum you will see other forum topics all reporting / discussing this issue.

Currently Acronis has not produced any fixes for this issue.
