Can't Add Existing Backup?

Thread needs solution

Anyone else had this?

Everything was working fine and then I went to add an existing .tib archive..... and nothing. It just doesn't get added to the list?

I'm running TI 2017 v5554 and the only way I can get it to restore from a previous archive (created with 2017 v5554) is to boot to the rescue media and restore that way - not ideal.

What on earth would cause the program to suddenly stop adding any archive from being added??

I have not had that problem myself and do not recall seeing it here in the Forum before either.  I would open a support ticket.

Ditto to a support ticket.

However, I'd be curios if you're using the same name of a backup that might already be in use as well?  The Acronis Web Gui displays via name.  If you have an existing job with that name already and attempt to import an old backup with the same name, it won't bring it into the GUI because the name is already in use.

Also, what version of acronis were the old backups created with vs the version installed?  The recovery media should be able to restore them, but the variations in the GUI across different versions, may not allow all features to work from within Windows.

Dave, in addition to the advice already given, download a copy of the Log File Viewer app and use this to check for any messages present in the Acronis log files from around the time when you saw this issue?  Link in my signature below.
