Can't explore Network drives on other PC's

Thread needs solution

When I try to select a drive destinate on a shared drive on another PC ATI shows no folders or files after clicking on the + button in the file explorer.

Windows can see the drives no problem.

It does not work either if I map the share dirve on the local PC.  ATI still would shows no files and folders.

This pretty frustating as I want to run amy laptop backups to my other m/c which has big disks.  This must be bug right ?

Neil, unfortunately this is a known issue that other users have also reported with ATIH 2017.

Please see the discussions in post: 124859: Cant select destination sub-folders where you may find some suggestions that may help you with your laptop / shared drives issue.

For myself, I got round this after I added a Hosts file entry for my NAS which wasn't showing folders

Add a Hosts file entry to your C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file in the format shown in the text of the file. Example: 192.168.0.29 myNASname
You will need to run Notepad or a similar text editor in Administrator mode to save the hosts file changes.

    Thanks...

Perhaps I should have stuck with an older TI product if there is one which works with Win10.  Perhaps I could get a free 'downgrade' having only bought it in the last few days.  They did this for me some years ago when TI9 had issues but last release of TI8 was solid.

Neil, both ATIH 2015 and 2016 are officially supported to work with Windows 10, though I have seen several users reporting issues following the Windows 10 Anniversary Update when using ATIH 2015.

If you can hold out while Acronis work on a fix for this issue then I would say you are better doing so because of the significant difference in support available with 2017 at 1 year (potentially up to 2 years) versus only 30 days (from purchase date) with 2016 or earlier.
