Cant finish a backup

Thread needs solution

I went to do a backup and came back in a few minutes and the computer was shut down.  The backup did not complete.  I started another backup and it shut down in about 2 minutes.

What is going on?

 

Also where is the log files located?  Why does Acronis keep making the GUI worse with each new release?

The log files are not accessible from th GUI, a shortcoming that has received numerous complaints here. Download the log reader app Log File Viewer App Version 2.2 Update | Acronis Forum if you want to see them. Post the log here and we may be able to shed some light on your shutdown issue. Check the windows event viewer to see what is occuring wehn the machine shuts down. What OS do you have?
