Changing from perpetual to subscription license

Thread needs solution

How can I change from perpetual to subscription license ?  I currently have a backup strategy producing backup files and I have a custom WinePE.  I do not want to lose any of my work.

satwar, you would need to contact Acronis Sales for your question about changing between different license types as we do not get involved in license issues here in the forum - we have no access to the Acronis systems involved.

See KB document: 58522: Acronis True Image 2017 Licensing which may offer you more information about the difference between the licenses.

Additionally, when you contact them, it is possibl to retain your perpetual license, but purchase online cloud storage in additon - the best of both worlds (possibly) depending on how you look at it.  Perpetual means you get to keep the application license and use it forever, but don't get free major version upgrades (2016 to 2017 to 2018).  Subscription means you get all major version upgrades and better support (telephone), but the software will stop working when the subscrption ends too (recovery will still work, but you won't be able to make new backups).

In a way, I kind of like the perpetual license with the added cloud storage since you get to keep a working vesion of the original application, even if you choose not to renew the cloud storage at some point in time.
