Clone issue - Loading, please wait black screen
I have used 2014 along with Windows 7 on my old laptop and would always clone my C drive so I always had a backup in case I ran into C drive issues. I got a new laptop with Windows 10 and found out that I had to upgrade to Acronis 2017 that Acronis 2014 is not compatible or supported.
When I try to clone the C drive in Windows, the laptop just restarts into my normal boot sequence back into Windows, so the whole cloning request does not occur.
When I try to Clone with the Acronis recovery boot USB drive, I see a small menu of Acronis choices and I select Acronis (#1). I get a black screen that says "Loading, please wait.....", followed by some very fast screen flicker on the next line in the first column, then nothing. After waiting a few minutes I just power down and boot-up again normally into Windows.
I saw that others had this same issue with Acronis 2015 and some people had to add "nomodeset" argument to the Kernal scripts within Acronis to get it to work. This fix page is withing the Acronis forum. The steps cannot be done in 2017 because the files do not match.
So, if anyone else has this issue please advise what you had to do for a fix.
