Congratulations
Hi friends, usually the forum's discussions handle problems, complains etc.
Let me today report my FULL satisfications.
The story: In my standard (commercial use) Office system with 3 PCs some time ago I installed Acronis 14 and run it (rarelly I used restore).
In the mean time I upgraded to 15.
Now, after I'm retired, I thought that one notebook was sufficient for my daily use. I built one and installed Acronis 17.
But to recycle the old PC systems, was logically forbidden for me, because there are some data , which are not yet on the new system and suddenly needed. (In deed, several times a year I switched my old system on, just to get one needed file).
Now I made an True Image of the complete old system to an external USB drive and recycled the old system.
When I need something old stuff:
- Plug the external drive into the notebook
- Mount the volume(s) I need with Acronis 17 from *.tib using context menu
- Copy the needed file(s)
- Unmount the mounted volumes
- Release the external drive
That's all.
I'm happy with that solution. Again congratulations to the Acronis team!
Peter
