Consolidating incremental backups for archiving.

Thread needs solution

Hi, I am running Acronis True Image Generation Premium. I have an 8tb drive with several sets of backups on it. One set is called Online backups Old. This archive consists of an initial backup, 20 incremental backups, a 2nd full backup and a further 4 incrementals backups. In total it comes to 3.81 Tb. Each full one is around 1.8 - 1.9 tb.
What I would like to do is to consolidate them all into a single file, and then keep that as a master archive. It would probably save me a chunk of space which would be very handy. It would also then be stored away from the computer. I do not want to delete it as it saved me tonight with an old file I didn't realise had not been re-installed after a rebuild of my pc.
Is there anyway to do this?

Cheers

John

John, welcome to these user forums.

Sorry but there is no mechanism provided by Acronis to consolidate your older backup version chains (full plus incremental backups) into a single file - this has not been available for some number of years since much earlier versions of the product.

I can only suggest that you register your requirement for such a feature to be reintroduced with Acronis either using the Feedback tool found in the GUI Help section, or else by raising a Support Case directly with them.
