Driver encryption software and Acronis
Hello,
I currently require to encrypt my HDD's with PGP encryption software. When I restart my computer both pgp and Acronis will not appear. Then I found out that they are not compatible.
Is there any encryption software that is compatible with Acronis?

Hello Steve,
I followed the instructions. First acronis true image, then create the image. Then I encrypted my D drive (I only want to restore C drive, not D drive). On restart I got MBR error 3.
Am I doing something wrong?

Eric, sorry but I am not sure what you mean by saying you followed the instructions in this context?
Can you give us a step by step list of the actions you have taken leading up to the MBR error 3 on restarting?

Hello, I followed this instructions that you provided.
Steps:
Create image of C drive using acronis.
Encrypted D drive with bit locker
Disabled the encryption with command prompt
Restart - MBR error 3.

How do I uncheck MBR? I haven't been able to see the F11 prompt so I am not reaching the restore part

Eric, if all you have done is create a backup image of your C: drive, this will have zero impact on whether your system can boot or not. The issue here, as I see it, is with the further steps you have taken for encrypting your D: drive then disabling that encryption?
The KB 56619 document I pointed you to is very clear that Acronis can only work from within an encrypted system where the encryption is transparent, i.e. is not seen by Acronis, and the backup image created would equally be seen as unencrypted.
There was no mention in your original post about your D: drive so I have no idea as to why any actions taken against this drive should give rise to the error on restart?
