How do I check what files are in the Backup Task.

Thread needs solution

I would be grateful for some help.

Q: How do I check what files are in the Backup Task.

Background: I created a Backup Task, I selected some files, I started the Backup and it finished successfully.

I now want to double check that I’ve selected the correct files to be included in this Backup Task.

I then a) select the Backup Task. b) click on ‘Files and folders’.

I then get a screen with two parts where ‘This PC’ is greyed out on the left part of the screen and ‘Local Disk (C:)’ is greyed out on the right. When I click on either of these greyed out icons I am unable to ‘drill down’ and check what files have been selected for backup.

So: How do I check what files are in the Backup Task?

Thanks, Mike

Mike, please see post: 126983: Acronis True Image 2017 Patch 5555 is available! which includes a fix for:

  • files previously selected for backup are not marked as selected when editing backup source

Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I have applied that Patch and I can now see the 'files previously selected for backup...'

I find this rather annoying (and worrying) because I checked my 'Acronis True Image' and it stated:
Acronis True Image
Version 2017, Build 5554
The product is up to date

Well, a) it wasn't up to date, and b) it didn't state there was a patch to be applied.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

Mike

It's a hotfix patch - not a version update.  You technically have the latest version that's available as a true update and are applying a hotfix to it - same as hotfixes are supplied by Microsoft to resolve some known bugs before they are released as official updates.  Acronis typically releases a version update about once a quarter (give or take). The main thing is you were guided to the patch to get around the issue in the meantime and it's now working.

Thanks for this, I also had the same issue as the OP. I will download the patch to try and fix it.

Is there a way to suscribe to hotfix releases??

Guillermo, welcome to these user forums.

There is no way to subscribe to these hotfix patches as far as I am aware, but one of the Acronis Support staff will normally post a 'sticky' topic in the forum when one becomes available, plus they will get rolled up into the next build version, when that is released, which you will get notified about within the Acronis GUI.
