How do you set type of back up and other Q?

Thread needs solution

I've seen all the youtube videos on ATI 2016, and in that version, you could specify the type of backup. Full, Incremental, or Differential.

I haven't been able to get the program to open from either the shortcut, or the listing in the Start Menu. The UAC dialog comes up and I click "OK" and that's it.

So, I wasn't able to investigate further on my own...

And finally, now that I've installed ATI 2017 trial version, is it possible to locate and install the ATI 2016 version? (that I've seen on YouTube)

Meaning, I understand how the interface works. This interface on the otherhand...to me, doen't feel very intuative. That's just my opinion of course, after having very little interaction with the program, so perhaps, at this point, it's expected.

Thanks.

No, you can only have one version installed at a time.  Did you upgrade your existing 2016 licensed version ot 2017 trial, if so, 2016 has been replaced by 2017 trial now.

It sounds like it's not launching properly as it should still load like it did in 2016.  Perhaps a bad install or bad upgrade...

Your can try to re-run the 2017 installer (make sure to right click and "run as administrator" even if logged in as admin already).  If you get the option to "repair" the installation, give that a try first.

You get used to the interface after you've used it a bit.  It's not perfect (a bit dumbbed down from 2014 and earlier versions), but overall it's not bad at all.  You can check out some of these user videos from 2016 to get a better idea of how it works and menus.  They're basically the same in 2017 (for the most part).
