i had to reload windows 10 but left my data

Thread needs solution

i use a Drobo to back up to with Acronis 2017. i have several hard disks on my desktop computer each with a separate backup with Acronis.

i did the reinstall of windows 10 that removes all programs and does a clean install of windows 10 leaving the data. that all went well. now i have reinstalled my programs including Acronis. how do i get back the scripts (i don't know the right word) that i had setup for my backups?

all my data is still on my desktop and Drobo. should i do a new backup of my C: drive where the OS is? the other disks have my data files which are virtually unchanged since the new install.

Carl, welcome to these User Forums.

If you have a backup of your Windows 10 OS drive, then you should be able to get back your ATI 2017 task configuration scripts by copying the .tib.tis files from the following folder in your backup file.

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts

These files are all XML text files that can be opened in Notepad or other similar text editor, where you will see your backup task name near the top of the text contents.

You will still need to reconfigure the backup task scripts to confirm the Source & Destination locations, plus to establish any schedule for the tasks (as this is not saved with the script file).

Once your scripts are restored, configured etc, then you will still need to either run the tasks or else perform a Validation for the task to show in the GUI as it did before your reinstall of Windows.
