Intermittent "Last backup has been stopped by user" problem
My backup routines ran smoothly for more than nine months but recently I have been beset with a failed backup with the message "The last backup has been stopped by user.". This rather useless message tells me nothing because this"user" has not done anything to the backup process. In fact when it happened today I was watching the backup process run and it seems to complete and then the same failure message popped up, however at the top of the backup page the last backup date is today not yesterday.
FYI, I have another backup, for a different hard drive, that runs immediately after the failing backup and it never reports this problem.
So two questions:
1. Why am I receiving a "last backup has been stopped by the user" message for one drive, but not the other, about every 2-3 backups?
2. Does the "last backup" date change even if the backup fails?

I have a dim recollection that this can happen when there is insufficient space on the destination HDD. Worth checking to make sure there is enough space for a full backup.
