Last backup failed

Thread needs solution

Hi,

since 3 day I get an error during my daily backup "Last backup failed". Where can I find some more information about this message or a protocol?

Wolfgang, please download the MVP Log Viewer tool from the Community Tools link in my signature and use this to check the backup task logs that are giving this failure message.

Wolfgang, when you open KB 59335: Acronis True Image: Community Tools and scroll down a little you will see a section:

Log Viewer

A simple application that allows viewing Acronis True Image service logs in a graphical user interface.

  1. Download the tool.
  2. Double-click to run it.
  3. Using date and time, find the log you want to check:

The download link above points to http://dl2.acronis.com/u/tools/ReadLogFileNewGen.exe which is a standalone .exe program that does not need to be installed.
