Message Notification that task is waiting for user interaction.

Thread needs solution

I keep receiving this email notification but I don't know what to do. I open Acronis but I can't find anything to indicate what has or has not happened.

MY- task is waiting for user interaction.
Description: 
Information: Failed to read data from the disk.
Details: Failed to read from sector '181,410,904' of hard disk '1'. Try to repeat the operation. If the error persists, check the disk using Check Disk Utility and create a backup of the disk.
Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A)
Unknown status. (0x9)
The device is not ready (0xFFF0)

George, the error message is telling you that you have a bad sector on your hard disk 1, which in Windows terms is Disk 0 which should be your main boot drive.  (Acronis counts disks from 1 whereas Windows counts from 0).

It is possible that the bad sector is in free space on your disk drive which is being used to store snapshot data by Microsoft VSS.

You need to schedule to run CHKDSK /R on that drive in order to check for any bad sectors and attempt to repair or reassign any found.

I'm having the same problem. Interestingly enough, I ran chkdsk and set it to fix errors. Still the same. But, when I open Acronis and run a backup manually, there are NO problems. So, it seems like it's not a bad sector, or it would have the same problem.
