Mounting Partition from .tib in Read/Write

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I use TI 2015 to backup my data and the Index is broken on my C: partition, another story, you can read about that here if you want https://forum.acronis.com/forum/129985

Now I want to mount C: on a different machine so I downloaded the TI 2017 Trial Version. I can mount C: no problem, but it is only in Read mode, I can't run chkdsk on it because that requires read access. In the mounting dialog I could not find an option to turn on r/w mode. Is that feature only avaible in the non-trial version? Or does it only work with images from the same TI version?

Cheers

Guinea Pig, sorry but the ability to mount backup image .TIB files in Read/Write mode was removed by Acronis after the 2014 version, so this is not possible with either your 2015 or any later version of the product.
See KB 48662: Acronis True Image 2015: Discontinued Features which documents the removal of this feature.

I would suggest sending a PM to Slava who, if I remember correctly, was the person who suggesting doing a CHKDSK for a mounted image for the index corruption problem.

Thank you very much,

I sent a PM to Slava, I hope he/she can help me. Otherwise... at least I have access to the files, it would just be a lot of work getting the licences for all the applications again.
