How can I backup OneDrive Folder with "OnDemandFiles"?

I cannot download all OneDrive Files and I also cannot Delete existing and download then when I need!

I hope there's a solution otherwise I have to say goodbye to acronis... =(

Julian, welcome to these User Forums.

Sorry, but I am not aware of any resolution for this OneDrive backup where FilesOnDemand is being used.

I can only suggest sending in Feedback via the tool provided in the ATI GUI and perhaps also sending a private message to Renata Gubaydullina | Product manager, Acronis True Image to see is she can provide any insight on how Acronis are working on this issue?

Hello Steve,

Thank you for your answer. Is there any work around to still backup my system? Because of an Display issue it needs to be replaced. No way to repair only the display. It's a surface laptop. =(

If there is not do you know any backup software that is managing the issue?

Julian, the only suggestions I can make here are:

First, change the storage location for your OneDrive folder - that is my first action on any computer where I use OneDrive - I do not allow it to use the default C:\Users\my_name\ folder path but move it on install to a separate partition - keeping is separate from any backup of the OS partition.

Second, with OneDrive not resident on the C: drive, then a disk & partitions backup of that drive should work, and you should be able to 'recovery' the OneDrive files & folders from the Cloud / synchronising with any other computers sharing the same OneDrive account.

Last resort might be to do a Sector-by-Sector type disk backup which should not exclude anything from the source drive, but this will be of similar size to the raw disk drive and may still hiccup over the reparse points used by OneDrive with FilesOnDemand enabled.
