problem if the PC is off

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone,
I'm trying acronis true image 2017

Configuration is very simple, however, I have a problem, if I plan to copy every night, and this night before I turn off my PC, the copy of me the next morning when I turn on the pc .... how do I prevent this?

I want to do it because I configured the PC shutdown after backup, so I turn off the PC while working.

Thank you

I'm not sure I understand the question.  Do you want ot prevent the computer from backing up when the system has been started again?  If so... then, under your schedule tab, expand "advanced settings".  Then uncheck (remove it) from the "run at the system startup with delay (in minutes)" option.

Likewise, if you want it to backup as soon as the system is started, then enable that check box.

thanks for the answer, but that's just what I asked even though I have disabiliato the box to the PC restarts again copying making me turn off your computer at the end ...

I think we're losing something in translation... so you don't want the system to shutdown after a backup is run?  Do you have the shutdown option enabled in the advanced tab?  If so, disable it (uncheck the box).

I think of translating ggogle translator is a little hard to understand .... :-)

I want after backup pc turns off and this works well

what they do not want instead it is that if today the backup does not run at the scheduled time (eg 20:00) must not run the seguene day you turn on the PC but always to 20.00

I hope that this time it is clearer

Fabrizio, your backup should only attempt to run on the next day when you turn the PC on if you have selected the option on the Scheduler page to 'Run at system startup with delay (in minutes)'

The only other way that this might happen would depend on your Error Handling options which are configured on the Advanced page for the task config.

If you have Windows 10 with Fast startup enabled, then when you shutdown your PC it may actually be going into a hybrid sleep (aka hibernation) state which when the system is started again, will attempt to resume any programs or tasks that were running when it was shutdown.

Did you also check to make sure the check box is NOT selected in this area (see screenshot) from post #1.  If you do not want the backup to run after a startup, then you should NOT have that last item enabled.
