Problem opening backups 2017

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've updated my Trueimage 2016 to 2017 using the CD. During install process I let it install

new update from web.

Since I use this 2017 version I can't open anymore the backups using double-clik to see the contents.

 

Explorer say "Empty folder", however the size of backup good.

Fortunately the backups created with 2016 version are still OK.

I'll try to uninstall and reinstall it ignoring the web update.

Claude, welcome to these user forums.

Rather than uninstalling and reinstalling again from your CD which will be an older build, I would recommend that you download the latest build 5554 ATIH 2017 installer from your Acronis account.

I would also suggest using the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link below in my signature) after doing a normal uninstall of the current problem version, and before restarting and installing the new version again.

The latest build 5554 ATIH 2017 is already installed.

So I'll try to uninstalling and reinstalling using the clean up tool.

Eveything work fine again now.

I've uninstalled using clean up tool, and reinstalled with CD the build 5033.

I'll try later with the buil 5554 or newer.

Claude, thank you for the feedback, glad it is working again.  Please note that build 5033 will have a number of code issues which have been resolved in the latest 5554 build as documented in webpage: http://www.acronis.com/en-gb/support/updates/changes.html?p=38886

If the issue will reproduce even after the new installation of 5554, please collect Debug logs as described here and screenshots illustrating the issue. Then I'll give you an upload link.
