Problems with "Add New Disk" function

Thread needs solution

If I try to "Add New Disk" from within Windows I get:-

Failed to Run Task. See attachment 1.

if I try from my Windows PE rescue disc I get:-

A message about a trial version. See attachment 2.

If I try via the F11 option at boot I get no chance to define partitions after selecting Proceed. The function just goes ahead a creates uninitialised space on the disc.

Any advice or info would be gratefully received.

Hairy Scot, both of your images seem to have their roots in authentication, so I guess the question we need to ask is: Is your installed version of Acronis True Image showing correctly as Activated on the Account page?

Please also confirm what version and build of the product you are using?

Did you create your WinPE Rescue Media using the integrated Bootable Media Builder tool within the product?

What version of Windows are you running here?

Hello Hairy Scot,

Thank you for attaching the screenshots. Could you check if schedhlp.exe is among running processes before the first error occurs? If it is not, try starting it manually "as administrator": "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedhlp.exe" and reattempt the operation.

Also please check the Account tab of the program, see what is the build number of the installed software. If it is 6106 or 6116, please contact us at http://www.acronis.com/support/contact-us.html, as the issue was supposed to be resolved in that version and we would like to investigate why it keeps happening.

Regards,

Slava
