.pst files lost when when backup cancelled

Thread needs solution

Windows 8.1

I started a backup using AVG True Image.  Initially, it said that it would take nine hours.  I checked after six hours to see that it was by then predicting 13 hours.  I checked again a while later and it was still stuck.  So, I clicked on cancel and AVG shut down.

The next day I went to check my email nothing came up.  So I checked C:\Users\USER\Documents\Outlook Files.  The folder was completely empty. I was able to recover .pst files from an old backup.  However, The calendars are nowhere to be found.

What can I do to recover the calendars please?

Geoff, welcome to these User Forums.

Not sure where AVG True Image comes into this?  Acronis True Image is the correct name but I am not aware of any reason why cancelling an ATI backup task would cause your Outlook files to be lost.
