Question about upgrade from 2014 to 2017

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image 2014 and I would like to Upgrade to 2017. In this link (https://kb.acronis.com/acronis-true-image-2017/upgrade it is said that it is possible to do that.

However, I am confused because it is also said:

"If your current version of Acronis True Image is Acronis True Image 2015 or Acronis True Image 2016, the new version will simply update it; there is no need to remove the old version and reinstall the software. If your current version is older, we recommend that you remove the current version, first."

So, I shoudl uninstall the previous version and not just update it.

But it is also said "An upgrade license can only be used with a full license of a previous version as a base."

My question is the followinf: am I sure that uninstalling Acronis 2014, the full licence will not be deleted and the upgrade to 2017 will be successful? I would not like to loose my money.

Your upgrade license will work fine from your old 2014 version.  Uninstall the 2014 version then install the 2017 version and supply the license key.

If you have purchased an Upgrade License, then when you install the 2017 version (after uninstalling 2014) you will be asked for two license keys - one for your new 2017 version, and one for your old 2014 version.  The alternative is to sign in to your Acronis account within the ATIH 2017 application and let the software pick up your license keys and activate by that method.  This assumes that both the 2014 and 2017 software are registered to the same Acronis account.
