[RESOLVED] SAUVEGARDE IMPOSSIBLE À OUVRIR/ IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN BACKUPS

Bonsoir,

Il m'est IMPOSSIBLE d'ouvrir mes différentes sauvegardes réalisées avec Acronis.

Il ne s'agit pas de "restauration" mais simplement d'ouvrir, par exemple le fichier concernant la sauvegarde de mon courrielleur Thunderbird.

Je clique dessus, tape le mot de passe et il ne s'affiche RIEN !!

Vous pourrez voir la prise d'écran correspondante en pièce jointe.

J'ai un besoin urgent de votre aide.

It's IMPOSSIBLE to open my different backups made with Acronis.

This is not "restore" but simply open, for example the file about saving my Thunderbird mail.

I click on it, type the password and it will NOT show up !!

You can see the corresponding screenshot as an attachment.

I urgently need your help.

Domi, welcome to these user forums.

Which version of Acronis True Image do you have, this is the 2017 Forum, your signature shows 2016?
Which build of the product are you using?  Latest is either 2017 build 5554 or 6116; 2016 build 6581.
What type of user account are you trying to open the backup file using? Administrator or not?

There are known issues with non-Administrator accounts opening backup files - please try this using an administrator account if you have not been using one.

Can you mount the same image file to a drive letter (unless this is a files & folder backup which may not allow this)?

What happens if you take the option to Restore files using the option for this from the ATIH GUI after selecting the backup task or file?

The restoration is done normally .... I do not understand what happens!

On my external hard drive, the backup of Thunderbird "THUNDERBIRD_full_b10_s1_v1" has a weight of 45 438 KB and when I click on it, a message tells me it's empty ....
But restoring is OK using Acronis..

I just tried to make another backup and same thing:
It is done very well but it is "empty"

Sorry, Steve I have a "poor" English and it must be difficult for you to understand my problem...

Domi, please see post: 126941: tib file are empty which looks to be the same problem as you are seeing.

The post refers to KB 58783: Acronis True Image 2017: Files and Folders Are Not Shown When Browsing Backups in Windows Explorer and also cross references another post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/117232#comment-359062 which advises how to clear the tibmounter cache files that may also help with this problem.

I'm sorry to have delayed answering you, but since your last message, I was in communication with an Acronis technician from France.
Our email exchanges were difficult and I realized that, apart from Acronis, he lacked many basic computer skills.

In short, my problem is solved:
In fact, "Acronis" does not know why, but many of their clients have problems between W10 and Acronis 2016 build 5554.
So I completely uninstalled this and installed the 8027 build.
Everything is back in order now ....
