Restoring image to new PC

Thread needs solution

I am running a trial version of 2017, and have made a "one click disk image" of a virtual PC. I want to restore this image to a new PC, onto the physical SSD drive mounted in that PC. Soem guidance for the correct sequence of steps to do this will save me a lot of trial-and-error. If there is an FAQ on this, you can just point me to that info.

Questions I have:
1. can I download the software toinstall it as another trial, on the PC to be restored, or is it better to just move the installer file from the original PC?
2. do I use the same login credentials for the new PC that I used to set up my account on the PC I am cloning?
3. Is it better to pull the disk image I made from the Acronis Cloud, or should I store on an external USB drive and move the image that way?

Thanks for any advice you can offer to make this process simpler to complete.

The functioning of the Trial version of ATI has some limitations. You will only be able to restor using the recovery media, which is OK as you are wanting to restore to a new system (cloning is not available in Trial Version). However, if the new system has different hardware, the resorted version may not work. Normally you would use Universal Restore to deal with this, but it is not available in the Trial version.

Once you have migrated to the new system, login details are unchanged. However, Windows may not work properly as the licence is tied to the particular hardware (particularly in the case of Windows 10). If the new system has had Windows 10 installed on it before, then the licence issue should not arise.

It will be faster to do the recovery from local backup; I have done recovery from the Cloud and it can be quite slow.

Not sure if the Trial versions will continue to work (through Windows), it again depends on the hardware signature. I do not know if it is possible to transfer the trial licence to a new PC. You will only know if you try.
