Scheduled Backups don't run.

Thread needs solution

Since upgrading to ATI 2017 bld 5554 from 2016 the scheduled bachups that worked in 2016 fail to run in 2017.  I have remade the schedules and the still do not run,  I can manually start the backups and it runs.  The program shows the date of the last backup and the date and time of the next scheduled backup, but it fails to run.  Under Services the following Acronis services are running:  Manage Machine Service Mini, NonStop Backup Service, Scheduler2 Service, and following running (Delayed Start) Mobile Backup Server, Mobile Backup Status Server, and Sync Agent Service.  Any help apprectiated.

larryo, welcome to these user forums.

I would recommend using the Acronis Scheduler Manager (link below in my signature) and use this to first get list which will show what scheduled tasks have been created, then use task zap to clear out that list of scheduled tasks.  You should then be able to go back into your backup tasks and check that your schedule settings are still present and correct, then save the settings by using the option to Backup at a later time.

You should also download a copy of the Log File Viewer app (link below) and use this to check the various different logs that Acronis produces for task activities - click on the Log type option in the app to see a drop-down list of the available logs, this includes those for the Scheduler.

Note: You can disable some of the Acronis Services such as Non Stop, Sync Agent, Mobile etc if you are not using these functions of the product - go into the Services console and set these services to disabled / stop them.

Thanks for reply Steve. I ran the Schedule Manager as you suggested. It deleted my schedule so I created a new schedule. It should run tomorrow (Friday 10/7/16) at 3 PM.  Thankfully all will be OK.  I will post here how it goes.

I also ran the log viewer program, but I really didn't understand most of it under Schedule2 and schdhlp.  Under Services I read where it did the scheduled updates until 9/22/16 when I installed 2017, and the ones that I manually did after that date.  Thanks again.

larryo, if there are still issues after Friday, then zip up the logs (from C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs folder) and post them and we can take a look at them for you.

Steve;  Thanks for all your help Steve.  The schedule backup ran as it should.  Thanks again for you help

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear the scheduled backup ran correctly.
