Slow speed when using online backup

Thread needs solution

I have been testing internet speed from my office to Columbia, MO which is hosted by Socket on speedtest.net as Acronis tech guy suggested in a post in one of Acronis forum.

https://cloud-wr-eu2.acronis.com/speedtest/index.html This result shows me few different results, but the lowest speed I testet during few days was 136.99Mbps Download and 33,54Mbps Upload.

I have an backup running, I know it's a large one, but what I see is, that the upload speed in Acronis True Image 2017 backup is between 7,2Mbps and 10,0Mbps

What I then did was the below steps which I was suggested to do by Acronis Tech, but that haven't solved this issue.

Launch Acronis True Image 2017, select the backup task and follow below steps:
1) Click on options
2) Click on ' Advanced 'tab
3) Click on 'Performance of backup operation'
4) click on 'Network connection transfer rate' and then set it to ' maximum'

After change I even rebootet the computer without any difference in backup speed.

Slow backup speeds to the Acronis Cloud are difficult for us to diagnose here in these user forums.

If you already have a Support Case open with Acronis Support, then I would recommend continuing to work with the Acronis support technicians on this issue, especially if you can show that your upload speed is significantly higher than the speed you are seeing from the actual Cloud backup task.

What is the size of the data you are backing up to the Acronis Cloud?

How much data has been transferred so far, over what period of time?

Was the backup already active to the Cloud when you made the changes to the Advanced settings for Performance of backup operation?  I note that you say you have rebooted the computer without any difference from this change, but was this a Shutdown & Reboot, or was it a Restart?  It may sound like these are the same thing, but they are not, especially if you have Windows Fast Start enabled, as Shutdown puts the system into a hibernation state but Restart effects a full shutdown before restarting, so will take longer!

There's an option in the advanced tab of the Cloud backup task to switch from optimal to full speed. Switch off optimal and it should try to use the full upload speed, pending no caps or restrictions coming from your ISP or your cable modem that could be limiting speed due to performance issues when stressed. I only do this overnight for large backups because when I max uploads, my downloads go to crap and my streaming media services become almost unusable.

You should also check the QoS (quality of service) settings in the router or router/modem. It may be configured to maximise media streaming and data transfers may be given a lower priority.
