Subscription Questions

Thread needs solution

I just jumped in and bought a 1 year subscription after having used Western Digital edition.

Will this True Image continue to function after 1 year like True Image 2017 perpetual license would for offline backups on local media, or have I bought the wrong version? I'm not really interested in cloud storage, just the feature updates.

Also, I paid with paypal which set up an automatic renewal of the True Image and Cloud Storage subscriptions. I do not wish to cancel these subscriptions for the year but do want to cancel their renewals rather than remember to do so a year from now. Can I safely disable the paypal agreement but keep the subscriptions for the year?

Thank you for the help.

Justin, welcome to these user forums.

If you have bought the subscription product then this can only be used to restore existing backups if you let the subscription lapse after the 1 year ends, this is the significant difference between subscription and the perpetual license version.

If you are within 30 days of purchase then contact Acronis directly and they can arrange to either refund or advise if you can change to perpetual etc.

You will still get any updates made available for the perpetual product during its life cycle, i.e. until such time as the next version is produced.

You should be safe to cancel your automatic renewal arrangement with PayPal once you have paid for your initial subscription period.
