Surface Pro 4 tib files not seen

Thread needs solution

Needed to restore my Surface Pro 4.

Installed Win10 Pro then ATI2017.

Using USB KB and mouse disabled secure boot and made usb first boot option

Boots into Acronis recovery ok.

When I click recovery it does not see tib files on SD card in Surface, tib file on USB stick and cannot see anything on my network NAS boxes.

All have files created by the ATI2017 in the last week.

I have recovered Dell laptops before ok but this is a first for a Surface.

Is there anything I am missing in this process.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Peter, questions rather than answers here for now.

How have you approached booting from your USB Rescue Media?
Did you do a Restart from within Windows, or did you do a normal Shutdown then boot from USB?
My reason for asking is because of the possible involvement here of Windows Fast Start where doing a normal shutdown puts the computer into a hybrid sleep mode instead of shutting down fully.  If you do a Restart, then Windows is shutdown fully then restarted from the USB device.

How is your SD card formatted (where your backup files are stored)?  This should not be in exFAT format as in not supported.

For network access when booted from your USB media, you would need a wired network connection as wireless support is minimal to say the least!

Note: you should not need to change the Surface 4 BIOS settings in order to boot from the USB stick.  Press Power on and Volume- at the same time, no bios settings change necessary (as advised in forum topic: Restoring Microsoft Surface Pro 4 after significant repair in the 2018 forum.
