Suspicious upgrade email
I received a convincing-looking email offering an 'up to 60% discount' to upgrade from True Image 2016 to T.I. 2017 - headed 'Don't get left behind!' and a picture of a man running to catch a train. I didn't click on the Upgrade Now button (which puported to offer a £54.98 licence for £19.99) but went to my account on the Acronis site, where there is no mention of any discount. Am I right in thinking, therefore, that the email is fake? The address <bounce-153_html-1809004-28004-7280537-10@bounce.acronis.email> in the headers suggests so, but I'm not too good at understanding headers.

Hi - that's great to know. You've put my mind at rest. Thanks! Gareth

The main Acronis page has some discounts too. Looks like in the US it's a 3 license upgrade for 30 or a new license and one extra for the same price. Always good to be certain before clicking on unsolicited email links though! Don't hesitate to contact chat support too.

Thanks! In the end I did go with the email link and all was well. The upgrade licence offer was remarkable value.

Yeah, have been some really nice offers lately - $10 a system (or better) for a perpetual license - nice to have a current version with support for that price. Never hurts to keep an eye out for discounts and bargains - they show up more than a few times a year.

I am feeling left out ... I have not received one of these bargain purchase emails for about 6 months. Must be something to do with being in Australia. Should I try Austria instead?
