TI 2013 backup SSD restore to SSD M2

Thread needs solution

Hi

I have made a backup from a 128GB SSD from a HP ProDesk 400 G2 Mini.
I have for some reason replaced the SSD with a Intel  SSD6 128GB M2.

When I booted up my TI 2013 it could not find the SSD M2 disk (BIOS has no problem to find it)

1) My question is can TI2017 find SSD M2 disk?

2) And will it be able to restore the old image?

ATI 2013 predates M2 SSD so I am not surprised that it cannot be found with the recovery media. The standard recovery media with ATI 2017 does not support raid drives, and usually M2 drives are configured using as raid (for performance reasons). You will need to create a custom WinPE recovery media - there is a tool created by some very talented MVPs to do this. See this post below. (Even I can use it so it cannot be a difficult task).

Hope this helps solve the problem.

PS The standard recovery media is uses Linux rather than Windows (which you build using WinPE), and Linux distributions usually do not ship with support for Intel raid (IRST). Neither does WinPE, you need to add the drivers - which is where the MVP tool comes in.
