Henri, have you followed the instructions in KB document: 58783: Acronis True Image 2017: Files and Folders Are Not Shown When Browsing Backups in Windows Explorer to see if that would resolve this issue for you or to collect debug logs and submit these to Acronis to help fix this bug in the code?

Henri, thanks for the update - that sounds like a long time to wait if this is not going to be fixed until ATIH 2018 sometime next year - I would hope that this will be resolved in an update for ATIH 2017!

hi,
i just bought a 3-pc-licence of atih 2017, with the same issue, but only on the windows10 machine, on my other pc with win7 on it, its no problem to open the *.tib files in the explorer (both of them, the win7 images and the win10 images).
as a workaround it is also possible to click right on the *.tib file and select "acronis true image / mount" from the context menu, then you can select your device and it will be shown as a disk in your explorer.
best

This little fix should allow you to double click and open .tib files again. I'd suggest you reboot, apply the fix before attempting to open any .tibs, clear the temp tibmount cache files as suggested by Dmitry in this post and then try to double click after that.

File Explorer shows contents of backup folders briefly, then says "Folder Empty"!

I've just installed ATI 2019, having upgraded it from a "no-frills" WD OME version and have initially set the software to do both a full computer backup on a weekly basis and a non-stop backup for key documents to an external WD hard drive.
Using File Explorer to check the contents of my Acronis backup files, I'm initially able to drill down and see exactly what folders have been backed up as part of the full weekly backup, including the contents of my C drive. I can do this for every backup, both full and incremental. However, within a short time (a matter of minutes at times), when I go back to any specific backup file and click on the C drive folder to open it, it says "Folder Empty".
Also, during the short periods when I am able to check the contents of the C drive, I find that while its backing up pictures, videos, etc, it's not backing up my documents, which are of course the most crucial thing I need it to do.
Any advice would be most welcome as I'm really at my wits end, having thought I was buying the best back-up software in the business, I am now left feeling totally unprotected in the event of a hard drive crash or worse.
