Unable to remove Acronis Cloud job from dashboard

Thread needs solution

December 31, 2016
Purchased Acronis True Image 2017 Upgrade - 1 Computer. Included 30 day trial of Acronis Cloud Storage.

March 23, 2017
Received message that said "your Acronis Cloud Storage is now deleted"

I never activated the Acronis Cloud Storage so there was nothing there when I logged in.

In the True Image dashboard is the backup "Acronis Cloud". I have tried numerous time to delete this job. When I do it just comes back.

I have searched the forums and have found that this has been a complaint for a number of years now. So far I have not seen a solution that works.

Edward,

If you have never created any Acronis Cloud backups and have none shown in the task list on your local computer, then just ignore anything shown in the Dashboard.

Cloud is an integral part of the ATIH 2017 application and you cannot remove or disable it as such.

If the above doesn't answer your concern here, then please attach a screen shot showing exactly what you are seeing that does concern you so that we can try to understand the issue better?

That's the problem. It is in the task list and is called Acronis Cloud. It is an Entire PC backup to the Acronis Cloud. I keep getting the error message, "Your Acronis Cloud Storage subscription has expired and is not active. Please update your subscription to be able to perform the selected operation."

If I try to delete the Acronis Cloud task I get the error "No Internet connection". The only choices given then are "Knowledge Base" or "Ignore".

If I select "Knowledge Base" I get a information box to send to Acronis. What stands out is "Error code: 0x006400D1+0x0064026C+...". If I click yes I am taken to the Acronis Support Center website which has the message" There is no information about this error available now. You can use the links below to search for any additional information that might be available."

If I select "Ignore" nothing changes.

I can select "Back up now". If I do this the Acronis Cloud task disappears from the dashboard task list. Unfortunately the next time I run True Image it is back in the task list again with the same error message.

One responder a few years ago even blamed Microsoft for the problem. Is there some kind of network permission probem with Windows 10 that is causing this?

Edward, thanks for the further information.

A couple of suggestions that may help.

Open C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts in File Explorer then open each of the .tib.tis files you see there in Notepad and check for the task name near the top of the file (inside <display>...</display> brackets).

Once you find the problem Cloud backup task, then delete that .tis file.  Recommend you have the main ATIH 2017 application closed when doing this.

In addition, you should also delete the contents of C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\OnlineBackup as you are not using the Cloud (or save the contents to another location).

Ok I found the script associated with the Cloud backup and have deleted it. The Acronis Cloud task is now gone. Thanks for the help.

Edward, thanks for the feedback, glad the problem task is gone now.
