uninstalling acronis 2017 windows 10
so i plan to use revo uninstaller.
1. do i need to shut down all the running processes manually first?
2. will i still be able to use my recovery media to restore those backups that i suppose will remain on my destination drive?
thank you

well i decided best to install as you suggested. went smoothly.
one unexpected bump. it asked at one time if i wanted to "delete extended capacity disks". that wasnt covered in the tutorial. sounded pretty scary so i clicked no.
was that correct?
should i now somehow delete them now?
leave things as is?
thanks

Extended capacity disks are a throw-back to an earlier time when Windows didn't have support for larger disk drives (over 3TB) and there was a need to provide additional utilities to allow the use of the same. This support was dropped from Acronis True Image 2015 and later as described in KB 48596: Acronis True Image 2015: Extended Capacity Is Not Supported
