Update Acronis TI 2017 Build 5554 to Acronis TI 2017 Build 6109 Full version

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis TI 2017 Build 5554 when I downloaded the New Generation Build 6109 is installs fine.

However, it puts me in Trial Mode.  My old Registration key is not valid on the I am in Trial Mode.

My Acronis TI has continually been updated from version to version since 2013.  The latest update was bought and paid for on August 31, 2016.  Repaying for a licensed copy with only 6 months from when I purchased it 2017 version seems harsh.

I would like someone to explain how I can get a new serial number that allows for the Acronis TI new Generation to function in fully paid mode.

I'm also a little lost on what I really need to buy due to all the options that were listed.

I do not use Cloud for storage and really would like to have the Both the latest True Image version and all update Builds to stay current.  I see a $39.99 1 year subscription that seems to be what I need to satisfy having the latest program (I just won't use the Cloud capability).  If I paid the 1-year subscription now (2/18/17) would that cover me until 2/17/18)?

A little confused and waiting for some guidance.

How did you install build 6109? Did you donwload and install via Acronis 2017 or did you download it from your account? As yet I am not being promted by ATI 2017 to download the new build.

I suspect you will not be the only one who gets confused by all this.

Ian

I was informed of the 6109 build from MajorGeeks.  After seeing it was released, I went to my account at  Acronis there I was given a new screen that had two choices Standard or premium download.  I downloaded the premium one and installed it and was thrown back into trial mode.

Have since used my Acronis Backup to restore back to Build 5554 for now for I don't like Trials that could end before I get a good answer.

A note.  If you use Acronis backup to go back to version 5554, you must use the Disk mode otherwise the 6109 will not be changed back to the 5554 version.

I know that I probably will not be the only one to be confused, so I thought I would start the thread to see if we can get an answer that does not confuse me.

The information I have is for the moment build 6106 is only available for the ATI 2017 Subscription (Standard and Premium). For those with an existing subscription the following information is avaialble:

Free upgrade to Acronis True Image New Generation (Premium Subscription)

Customers who purchased Acronis True Image 2017 subscriptions (Standard) between August 22, 2016 – January 18 2017 are eligible for a free upgrade to Acronis True Image New Generation (Premium Subscription). These Customers will receive a link to the free install inside the product. Customers who purchase Acronis True Image 2017 subscription (Standard) on or after January 18th, 2017, will not receive a free upgrades to Premium. Purchase of Premium is required starting on January 18th, 2017.

see: https://kb.acronis.com/acronis-true-image-2017/upgrade

I understand that a new build for non-subscription users will be available in due course.

Interesting infor Ian and good find.  Looks like version may be different as well.  I ended up with build 6116 and do not see a reference to 6109 - perhaps the versions are differentiated by region this go around or the type of subscription - not really sure at the moment.

Yes, I ended with 6116 - however in the sticky (128261: Just Released! Acronis True Image 2017 New Generation!) the build number is given as 6106 (possibly a typo). The strange thing is that I was not promted for a new licence number (although the information on the free upgade does not suggest a new licence number is required, merely the download link.

It is not unusual for there to be a staggered roll-out by region; it probably depends on which sever is the 'primary' sever for the region. In my case it would be the server associated with www.acronis.com.au (which translates to http://www.acronis.com/en-au/). They probably update the servers progressively.
