This update slowed my computer down.
A couple of days ago I downloaded and installed the 2017 version, and since then my computer has been noticebaly slower, particularly when opening windows in desktop explorer. It takes several seconds before the files are displayed.
Task manager shows that Acronis software is active and using more CPU time that you'd expect when not currently backing up files. From a previous experience with the 2015 version, there was a real-time backup option that I had to disable. It was causing all sorts of problems such as locking files I was using. Turning that off solved that problem. I've been trying to see if this feature existed in the 2017 version but hell if I can find anything in the dumbed down menues.
Anyway, I guess two questions.
1. Is real-time backup running, and if so, how do I turn it off?
2. Why else would this software slow down my computer?
Note, I'm using an older, but by no means slow, PC running WinXP.
Thanks, Mike
