What is acronis_drive.exe
As discussed in another post, with build 8029 there are thousands of level 3 events logged to ti_shell.log that say acronis_drive is not running. I've found the file C:\Program Files(x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\acronis_drive.exe. It's description says it is "Acronis Drive Service". It's not listed in the services and there is nothing in the registry that would get it running.
Was this here before build 8029? If someone has an older build, can you check to see if it exists? Any ideas as to what it does?
I filed a report with Acronis about the logging problem and my response today was typical... please send a system report before we can look at it, but I found way too much stuff in the system report so I'm avoiding sending that away.

I don't use the Mobile Backup or Nonstop Backup, so I have the three related services set to Manual and none of them run. I tried setting the two Mobile Backup services to automatic to see if it solves the infinite "acronis_drive is not runinng" message. Unfortunately, it did not. So I'm back to leaving them as manual services and leaving the ti_shell.log file as read-only. So it goes.

Bruno, understand and agree there is no need to run services which are not used, so put them to either manual or to disabled as you prefer. The Acronis developers are meant to be looking into this and other related issues - I raised a separate new topic in the private MVP forums and Gaidar said he has passed this on to the developers, so waiting for further feedback from them.

For anyone looking into this thread in the future: the issue with "acronis_drive is not runinng" message filling the log is known and is going to be fixed in the next update. acronis_drive.exe is a helper process for browsing Acronis Drive - a virtual drive in Windows File Explorer for browsing Archives and backups originated from Acronis True Image mobile application.
