why content of the trash still present after restore

Thread needs solution

Hello Forum,

i restored a backup-image (c: and 350MB partition), To my surprise files i deleted the day before are still shown in the trash after the restore!

What am i doing wrong?

Thank's for any feedback!

Ralph

Ralph, without more information, just guessing here.

If you use the Advanced setting for 'sector-by-sector' mode when making the backup of the original source disk / partitions, then this would include everything that was present at the time of the backup and ignore any exclusions that were set.

On the Backup task Exclusion page, you should have entries as shown below enabled to be excluded (the tick box at the top checked!) - this will exclude the contents of the $Recycle.Bin where your deleted files would normally be found.

Thank's a lot Steve!

not only documents in the trash after the backup-image was made, but also restore poins (VSS/VSC) are still present after the restore of the *.tib. I cannot remember that this was the case in the earlier days of TrueImage...
