Windows 7 Universal Restore on HP-PC's with Intel USB3.0
Hi,
I have the Problem, that I can't get the Intel USB3.0 drivers into the recovered windows 7 system.
I can't use any usb devices after the recovered system is booted. I've patched the windows 7 boot USB-Stick with the patcher provided by intel. With that boot stick usb devices are working when booted with the windows 7 boot stick.
I've tried to inject those drivers (provided by Intel) with universal restore into the recovered win 7 but to no avail. I also tried the drivers provided by HP.
Do you have any Tips on how I can get the usb devices to work? Legacy modus is activated in the bios.
used Hardware: HP Pro Desk 400 G3 MT Bussiness.
Thank you!

Sounds like the OS was recovered from a different system to the new one? Just because Acronis can move an OS from one type of hardware to another, does not mean that the hardware is fully supported with that OS. Does the new system support the old OS as identified by the manufacturer website for that specific make/model? If so, have you checked to make sure you're also using the latest bios firmware as well?
As an example... The surface Pro 4 was designed with Windows 10 in mind and does not run Windows 8.1, 8, 7, XP, etc. Actually, it will run them, but if you install them (or recover an image backup that contains those older OS'es) to the Surface Pro 4, things won't work right because there are no drivers in this older OS for the newer hardware and Microsoft doesn't provide them seperately.
If the OS is supported on this different hardware (check with the manufacturer), go into computer management >> device manager and look for yellow warnging triangles and see if you can identify which devices are missing drivers and try to add those through Windows update and/or by getting them from the manufacturer and manually installing the (sometimes, you can download driver packs for a model directly from the manufacturer - Dell and HP usually provdide these).
Also check to see if there are any devices that "cannot start", which may also be caused by incompatible drivers, or lack of drivers.

Use Windows Device Manager to install the USB 3.0 drivers from Intel. If the drivers are in a compressed package unzip them first. Direct Device Manager to the driver locaion and they should install just fine.

Thank you for the replies!
The Hardware is semi supported with win7 (Downgrade from win10). I also updated all the Firmware (where available) and the BIOS.
My main problem is that none of the USB ports are working when booted to win7. So I don't have a keyboard or mouse. PS2 ports also don't work. I tried remote Desktop but the network drivers aren't working either. Both devices are working when booted with the Acronis Rescue Media or the patched Win7 installation Disk.
But it seems to be a hardware issue and not an Acronis Universal restore issue.

I suppose you could try a silent install if you can get an command prompt open as outlined in the link below under Install and Setup:
