Acronis 2018: restoring only a few folders from a full back up

Thread needs solution

Hello. I have created a full back up of all my computer (Windows 7, hard disk 1, and hard disk 2). All the buck up now is located on a Seagate disk. The problem: I decided to change my Windows 7 to Windows 10. Everything is new. I do not need all the files of the back up, but only some of them. Can you help me to restore these files? Thank you.

Aris, welcome to these public User Forums.

If you have ATI 2018 installed on your Windows 10 computer and can see the full backup .tib file that you created from Windows 7, then you can open Explorer to the location of the .tib file, then double-click on the .tib file to open it, after which you can use normal Windows Copy & Paste controls to restore just the files you want from the backup archive.

Note: it is important that you only copy / paste user files and leave any files held in Windows system folders untouched.
