Wang Bruce, welcome to these public User Forums.

I would suspect that your DVD boot media is Linux based and this may be why it cannot support the larger sector size for the 8TB HDD.

Assuming that you have ATI 2018 installed on your PC, then I would recommend creating the 'Simple' version of the Acronis rescue media with uses Windows PE from the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).

Hi Steve, Thanks for your reply! The problem computer system is windows 10, the hard drive sector size is 4096. another computer no this problem the hard drive sector size is 512, so we suspect if Acronis 2018 can't handler big sector size HD and how about new version Acronis SW?

Regards!

Bruce, what are you trying to do here?

If you are trying to clone the drive, then both drives have to have the same sector size!

See KB 45437: Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, Acronis True Image: cloning and disk/partition recovery to a disk with different logical sector size is not supported
