Acronis is not able to create make File-Backup (due to "locked" files)

Thread needs solution

Hi together,

I use HP Elitebook 850 G5, Samsung 970 EVO M2, Bitlocker is disabled.
I had ATI 2018 and 2019 on board, in the moment i'm back to ATI 2018, whereas the failure are in both programs ident.

The Problem:
I try to make a Backup of the "public folder" of my machine.
The target was on one hand an external USB-HDD and on the other hand another place in my SSD.

Both trials ended up negative.

In both trials ATI was not able to do the backup without any failure, it stopped by a popup which said, that the backup cannot be done, because some files are blocked.
*But* this should be normal, when backing up a running system??

When I "ignored all" the blocked files with the offered button, the backups where completed.

Please let me know how to go on with this failure, and what to do, that is will not appear!

THX in advance MfD

PS: Please take my other post also in consideration, which has the question the volume-backup.

Manfred, please download / run the Acronis VSS Doctor program and take the option to fix any problems that are identified if this is offered to you.

Please also ensure that you are running ATI from an Administrator account so that it has the required privileges and permissions.

Now, after re-installation of Build 1809, and the other problems are gone, I'll check this task again.

I'll report here.

Manfred, thanks for the update.
