Active Protection - Whitelisted App

Thread needs solution

I have whitelisted an app, however it still gets blocked? How do I resolve this? Is this a bug? Please refer to my screenshot for an example.

Arno...welcome to these user forums.

There are some 'patterns' that are prohibited even if an app is white listed.  One of these 'patterns' is deleting a .tib file.  If your whitelisted app is moving a .tib file from one location to another location, in effect, it is deleting the .tib file from the old location.  This is prohibited.  The only way around this is to turn off Active Protection (which is not recommended)

Arno,

To permanently Whitelist an app you must add it to the Exclusion list in the Active Protection feature of the app.  Click on Active Protection on the left side of the GUI and select Manage Processes from the main Window.  You will get a screen that will allow you to add the offending app to the exclusion list and eliminate the false positive warnings.
