After updating to ATI 2018 build 11530, most previous backups not seen
After updating ATI 2018 to build 11530, am now unable to see almost all previous backups. Cannot see backup done just this morning either.
I'm using ATI 2018 and backing up files to a Seagate Backup Plus Drive(8TB). Have had no problems until 11530 update.
I can only see two of the most recent backups(3). The latest one this morning is not seen via the ATI interface.
If I use explorer, I can see all of the backups(almost 5TB worth) going back a couple of years.
Running Windows 10 Pro Ver 1709;32GB Ram, 240 GB SSD; additional 4TB storage on two internal HD's;plus Seagate Backup Plus (8TB) external drive.

ATI 2018 was updated to build 11530 from the previous 2018 build.
I misspoke on what files were on the Seagate Plus drive versus ATI 2018 B11530.
Here are screen shots of the Seagate Plus drive and ATI 2018. Today/'s backup isn't on the Seagate Drive and ATI shows it as backedup on G drive and it has been validated. However, there is no G drive on my desktop.

Roger, it looks possible that your backup drive got a different drive letter or another drive took the normal letter that it uses?
What happens when you take the option for your "C-ssd-win10" backup task to 'Open Location'?

Get message that "Cannot find the file or folder.
It is also missing from the Seagate Plus drive.
However, the backup in ATI 2018 shows when and how much was backed up and that the backup is valid. Yet file explorer on desktop shows no "G" drive. Do not know where the "G" designation came from.
The last fixed drive is "F". The cd/dvd drive is "H" and the Seagate Plus is "I".
What bothers me most is that all of the previous backups before 4/18/2018 are missing in the ATI app.
I created a new backup for the ssd drive;it is displayed in the ATI app as well as in the Seagate Plus Drive.
However, still no listing of any of the previous backups made to the Seagate Plus Drive.
The "others" listed on the ATI 2018 B11530 screen shot are for other external drives that are connected via eide.
I liked earlier version of ATI that allowed you to open a backup with file explorer. Seems like this was changed about ATI 2017 or maybe even ATI 2016. Don't remember when.

Roger, sorry that you don't seem to be able to find the missing files, not sure that we can help further with that issue other than trying a file recovery tool such as Piriform Recuva to check to see if the files have been deleted from the drive where you expect to have found them?
All installed versions of ATI should provide Windows Shell Integration that will allow you to double-click on any .tib file and get it to open in Windows Explorer, or else to right-click on a .tib file and use the TrueImage options to either Validate or to Mount (disk & partition files only).

Roger,
Can you post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management screen? In one of your screenshots I see an N \My backups\ drive, is this where your previous backups where located?
What version of Windows are you running? If Windows 8 - 10 in the search box type in the name of one of your missing backups, does Windows find it? In Windows 7 you can do this in Explorer. If Windows can find the missing backups what drive letter shows to have those files?
This all sounds like Windows assigning drive letters to drives as it will, in an order that ends up changing the letter on some drives. This is turn has confused True Image and it cannot locate the files in their last known location thus it is not displaying them.

Steve, actually I have been unable to use explorer to open the tib files for several releases now. When I double click on a tib file, nothing happens. If I right click, then click on open, again nothing happens. I can only right click and use open with Acronis, the ATI opens.

I'm running windows 10 pro, 64bit, version 1709; os build 16299.371
The file that ATI shows as saved in "G" drive is actually on the Seagate Plus Drive, letter I. However, since ATI 2018 says the backup file is on "G" drive, I cannot open it from within ATI 2018.
As I had explained to Steve, the others: backup files that show N, L M or any other drive designation are actual backups made to those external drives at other times. The one you reference was made on 10/4/2014 at 1:09PM.
what I am continuing to discover is really troubling. I do a complete backup every weekend on my ssd drive(C).
However, the only backup files showing are the backups on 1/18/2018 and the nest one is the C-SSD-win10 that is shown to be on "G" drive that was backed up on 4/21/2018 @ 11:53 AM with the last one being the C drive backedup yesterday 4/22/2018 @ 2:30PM.
All three of these files are stored on the Seagate Plus Drive(8TB) drive letter I.
However, none of the other backups between 1/18/2018 and 4/21/2018 are to be found on the ATI app or the Seagate Plus Drive. Whattttttttttt?

Suggestion, I suggest that you first assign a drive letter to your external Seagate drive that is far into the letter chain (think X,Y,Z) so that Windows will not change the letter of that drive. The other drives appear to be internal drives as far as I can tell (Disk Management Screenshot would help) so not sure why these drive letters would change.
Did you try a search for any of the lost file names? You should and make note of where (what drive letter) they are now! After that, in the True Image GUI click on the Add backup + button at the bottom, navigate to each of the old backups, and let the app add them back into the interface. After that run a validation of each file. This should reconcile the new location of the files for the True Image database and things should be OK again.

My desktop has three internal drives with the largest one set up into two partitions: disk 1:C-240GB SSD;Disk 2; F- 1TB hard drive: Disk 3;3TB split into Partions D: & E.
The Seagate Plus Drive(8TB) drive identified with letter I and is external.

Thanks for the screenshot.
What I see is that on your external drive there is a 128MB partition showing as GPT MSR, This would be the Microsoft System Reserve partition and labeled Other. You might think about changing that to MSR.
On your C: drive I see an unallocated 32.59MB partition which should not be there. Is C: drive an SSD? Is your machine UEFI booted? Your partition structure looks like it is not a UEFI system but I have seen some odd things before!
Hope you find those lost files!
