"Andere" unter "Backup Übersicht"
Hallo Forum,
Bernd

Bernd, the items shown in the 'Other' section of the ATI GUI are those that have been discovered on backup media that was connected when ATI was installed or upgraded, or else they can also be those associated with your same Acronis Account but created on other computers.
For backups found on local / network locations, you can remove these by using the Delete option from the drop-down menu for that item, but you should only remove the settings, not everything!
If you see any backups from the Acronis Cloud, then these should not be removed as would also delete the cloud backup files.

Hallo Steve, Hello Steve!
Gruss Bernd!

Bernd, sorry but there is no way of disabling this search by ATI on install or upgrade except by not having the backup drive(s) connected at that time. This has been requested of Acronis many times by users and was an option in some of the earlier versions but was removed for some reason when they introduced the new GUI layout.

Ok THANKS a lot, learned some things!
Will it be an option again in the newest Version of Acronis 2019 again or still the same problem?

Still the same with ATI 2019 and still many complaints when lots of unwanted entries appear in the GUI too!

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database

If you are going to look at the Acronis Database then using Notepad++ will show you very little as this is an SQLite database and you need to use a program such as 'DB Browser for SQLite' to view the contents. I would caution against making any changes to the database!

Thanks, Steve Smith
DB Browser for SQLite is much better than Notepad++.

Sounds Great, will test it.. can i only make a simple copy and paste of the database file,
to make a backup of it.. or have i as i asume to close acronis or disable a acronis running service to performa a backup?

WOW, Thanks a lot!!!
It worked to browse via Sql Lite Browser to browse..
Found nearly 300 entries!
Is there a way to search for active backup images still existing? or the path where they are located?
i nearly could not imagine that i have 300 images around still needing place on local hard disk or nas..
but could be the total number of backups made over years..
by the way, its acronis 2018..

Bernd, with ATI 2018 and later, AAP may step in to prevent any changes to the database or other files, so best to have ATI inactive and AAP turned off temporarily. Do not attempt to make changes to the main database and always keep a backup of this.
The number of entries in the database can mean different things than just the number of backup tasks - the information shown via the Browse Data tab depends on the selected database key, so in my screen image, this shows some of the backup .tib files known to the database, some of which are for different backup tasks in the GUI.
I have never tried making changes to the database contents and have no intention of doing so.
If you have problems with the database, then the advice from Acronis is to rename or delete the folder (with Acronis inactive / services & processes stopped) and a new database folder & files will be created when ATI is restarted but will have no information about any of your backup tasks, so this will need to be built up again by running the tasks or performing validation etc.

@Steve,
Ich verstehe diesen Abschnitt nicht wirklich:
The number of entries in the database can mean different things than just the number of backup tasks - the information shown via the Browse Data tab depends on the selected database key, so in my screen image, this shows some of the backup .tib files known to the database, some of which are for different backup tasks in the GUI.

Bernd, I am not an expert on SQL tables and databases.
The Acronis Database contains 17 individual tables and 26 indices (on my computer) but these are interlinked to each other by various keys.
The Volume_ table contains the full path to a single backup image file.
You would need to establish the full relationship between table entries and the taskId_ value from the ArchiveHead_ table which is beyond my own understanding here. Acronis do not publish any information about the database and it is not recommended to change it.
