ATI 2018 Backup corruption errors and version clean up issues
Hello ATI 2018 Community,
I have been using ATI for several years and never thought I had issues with the product until recently. I have a WIN10 computer with multiple internal drives as well as a Synology NAS. More or less I backup a "C drive" image from Win10 pc to the NAS and the other data om my NAS I backup to one of the drives on my Win10 pc.
All seemed to be fine until I lost the "C" drive on my Win10 PC about a month ago. I would like to say it was a quick restore from my ATI backup and I was back in business but it was not and I found that several of my back up files were corrupted or missing. I ended up doing a fresh Win10 install as well as ATI.
In trying to get my regular backup jobs setup again, I have been having major issues with (once setup) the backup jobs completing on a consistent basis. All my jobs run incremental with one full and five incrementals running before the next full backup takes place.
What I see taking place is either:
- What appears by size as multiple full backups taking place, even though they are named "inc"
- Backup jobs complete one day and they fail the next time they run. I then run them manually and they run fine but then fail in a similar manner when run by the scheduler.
- Backups fail an say "corrupted" but when I run a validation it completes successfully.
I have even gone so far as to try to recreate the backup job from scratch (without using the previous backup files) and still run into strange stability issues with each of the 4 jobs (three backup from NAS to PC HDD and one backup from PC HDD to NAS).
ATI technical support was not very helpful with my restore process so I am hesitant to pay $$$ to upgrade to ATI2020.
Any insights/guidance would be really appreciated

Thanks for the reply...
I removed all the old backup jobs and moved the old back up files to another archive location. I then re-created from scratch all the back up jobs.. same source...same destination folders as previous just fresh backups. Has issues with the scheduler but cleared all that out with the command line options and recreated.
As of now, my "from NAS to local HD" backups seem to be solid again. The jobs run as scheduled and complete with no errors. My "Win10 partition to NAS" backup is throwing corruption errors so I posted a topic about that.
Not sure but something is "funny"
