ATI 2018 how to determine what is being backed up

Thread needs solution

I have ATI2018 and have a backup listed on the back up list.  It runs as programmed and reports success as desired.  I wish to determine what it is backing up.  When creating a backup it is easy to see what is being selected for backup, from entire computer to a selection of drives, or files and folders.  Once this backup is saved, and it appears on the list, how would the user ever be able to determine what was selected for backup?

It is not easy; what you need to do is "pretend" you are reconfiguring the backup, click on the Source (left) and that will allow you to drill down to see what is being backed-up - primarily for Files and Folder backups; for partition and disks, you can get the same level of detail, but you may also want to look at the exclusions. Once you have got the information you need, cancel the reconfiguration.

Is it possible to remove exclusions from the 'exclusion list' ?  if you have 'excluded' a folder by mistake, do you have to start all over again?

Philip, it should be possible to change either your Source selection to include a new folder or else to delete an incorrect folder from an Exclusions setting.

The key factor here is the type of Backup being used.

If you are creating a Disks & Partitions backup, then the Source is of whole disks or partitions, so all exclusions are handled via the Exclusions panel settings.

If you are creating a Files & Folders backup, then folders are selected or excluded on the Source selection panel, and the Exclusions panel is only used to exclude specific files or file types by using a mask, i.e. exclude *.tmp, *.tibx etc.
