Backing up to NAS

Thread needs solution

Acronis True Image 2018
Toshiba Portege R930, 16 GB Ram, 740 GB Hard drive
Windows 10, 64bit

I am backing up to a Network share on a Netgear ReadyNAS, which is connected directly to my router, and which I access via WiFi.

My problem is that running the backups fills up all empty space on my Laptop C: drive. What am I missing here?

Thanks, Chris

Chris, welcome to these User Forums.

Please download the free Acronis VSS Doctor utility program and run this to check for any issues with VSS on your Toshiba computer.  VSS is used by ATI during backups to make snapshots of the data being written to your NAS and this snapshot data is stored in unused space on your drive.

Thank you Steve,

Seems that there was a problem with the VSS Shadow Storage setting, which the program corrected. I will see how I go now.
