Bootable USBstick doesn't boot anymore the computer in relation with Startup Recovery Manager
Hello,
I purchased Acronis True Image 2018 which appeared to work well after installation. I Made a bootable rescue USB stick, that booted fine after restarting my laptop and after making suitable adjustments in my BIOS etc.
As an experiment in order to learn more about this software I activated the stand-alone capability of ATI2018: Acronis Startup Recovery Manager. After that I rebooted my PC (without USB stick) and called for Acronis with F-11. This worked fine as well...... But...... after this exercise....
trying to boot the software on the USB-stick ended with the error-message something like: "Operating System Missing.... etc...".
I looked in the softwaremanual and found (chapter 11.2 at "Does Acronis Startup Recovery Manager affect other loaders?"), that activating the Recovery Manager overwrites the bootdata of other things among which apperently those of the bootfacilities of my USB rescue stick. My other bootable sticks also are not booting my PC with the software on it. Deactivation of the recovery manager does not solve this problem.
There is the following statement: (citation):
".....If you have any third-party boot managers installed, you will need to reactivate them after the Startup Recovery Manager has been activated....."
My Question is: "How" do I reactivate "What" or more precisely: What to do to make my USB sticks booting again?
This question might be a stupid one, but I am not that familiar with this stuff, that I can easily find myself an answer on that . Yet I want to use Acr. Tr. Im. 2018 with the rescue media and not with the stand-alone version.
Please help me.
Thanks in advance...

Hello Steve,
Thanks for your reaction.
- Your 1st remark: Do you have a full backup of your OS drive from before making the changes to activate the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager (ASRM)?
I have a full BU of my OS-drive I created in May the last. I could recover, but if it is not sure, that the MBR and track 0 data are restored than I might loose programs (and their adjustments) that I installed since May without result I aim at. Thus your proposal is not my first measure to take. - Your 2end idea: Otherwise, you are looking at needing to work through your BIOS options. I am also assuming that your Windows 10 OS is booting correctly here?
I tried several things in the BIOS, but among the bootfacilities there no ones are to restore the bootsystem for my older USB sticks bootable before. B-t-W my Win10 is booting correct there. - I will follow up your advice to open a Support Case directly with Acronis. When this will not give the intended solution than I could follow the 1st point.
In either case I will report you the outcome.
Again thanks Steve, though your suggestions are not directly solving the problem, you have put me on the road maybe leading to that.
