can you customize the notification email subject

Thread needs solution

Currently, the email notification subject in TI 2018 is "Backup task completed successfully - Acronis True Image notification from JGT-HPLT" on one of my systems (all others are similar). Is there a way I can customize the subject so it is easier for me when I get the emails from my five personal system and my family (total of 15 systems)? Example. In the subject line above the "JGT-HPLT" is the Name of the PC and for me that is meaningful. Thus I'd much prefer if I could customize the subject to say "JGT-HPLT Success TI Backup" or "JGT-HPLT TI Disk Space Low" and possibly other messages. On all of the PCs I run the backup either late in the evening or shortly after midnight thus in the AM when I finally roll out of bed I can quickly see by the subject (I filter the emails into a folder just for maintenance and sort on the subject) which systems were successful or had issues. This, of course, does not account for a PC that was turned off or had other issues that prevented the backup from running. I'm looking for something to raise the red flag if a backup was missed or had not run for a few days. I run an incremental backup, on the 7th day I create a full backup and keep 10 sets. I keep so many because I have been burned with only five sets. I've got the space on all of my systems to keep this many backups. So far I've had success with my backups, but there are things I know that should be enhanced to provide more security. I'm also open for suggestions.

John, please see the ATI 2018 User Guide: Notifications for backup operation this first section has information about dealing with free disk space issues.

Scroll down the above page and you will see a section for Email notification which describes all the customisation options for these email messages.

Steve, MUCH thanks, when setting it up I missed the "Show extended settings" just to the right of the checkbox "Send email notifications about the operation state". IMHO the "Show extended settings" should be automatically displayed and there should be no option to remove/change the extended display.

Is there a way to download a PDF version of the UG? For me, I find it super difficult to find anything in the online UG.

John, you should be able to access the UG on your own computer by clicking on the icon to Open Help in the main GUI, on my computer this then opens the UG in my default browser.

You can download a 5.6MB PDF version if that is easier via  https://www.acronis.com/en-gb/download/docs/ati2018/userguide/

Steve, I now have a custom email notification and it makes it a lot easier to spot issues if one of the systems is having problems.

Much thanks for the help.

John, glad to hear all is now as you want it. Thanks for your feedback.
