Can't Create Rescue Media - MAC

Thread needs solution

The bug I reported whilst in ATI 2018 was in beta has not been fixed in this released version.

When trying to create the rescue media the error 'Failed to create bootable media, because OS X Recovery does not exist or its version mismatches the OS X version. If you have OS X Recovery stored on an external hard drive, plug in that drive, and then try again.' appears.

(High Sierra - B7)

Hi PJB - bummer, sorry to hear that.  I'd recommend opening up a support case directly with Acronis now that the beta is over and the final release of 2018 has been published.   This should be a pretty important update to get working... once Apple officially releases it out their own Beta testing.

Keep in mind that High Sierra is still a beta OS right now too - as usual, Apple probably changed some of the basic functionality of recovery and Acronis will need to re-code to make it work again.  Seems to be the norm since OS X 10.8 up to the release of Sierra last year and continuing the trend.

Hi Bobbo_3C0X1, Thanks, I will look at raising it today. Be good for someone in development support at Acronis to look into this issue before High Sierra goes gold - or there could potentially be a lot of people out there who will have this issue, and Acronis rep will go down hill.
